Situated on natural rock outcrop in an upland area with extensive views in all directions. A circular area (diam. 21m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.7m) with no clear evidence of a fosse or entrance feature. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. A rectangular area defined by a drystone wall (10m E-W x 12m N-S; H 0.4m), destroyed in places, in the centre of an enclosure (TN008-041002). Grass-covered wall-footings of a possible building (10m x 12m; H 0.5m) are located in the N sector of the large enclosure. There is a children's burial ground (TN008-041001) in the interior defined by a drystone wall. Grass-covered wall-footings of a possible building (10m x 12m; H 0.5m) are located in the N sector of the enclosure. A large oval enclosure (dims. c. 100m N-S; c. 92m E-W) defined by a bank is visible on satellite imagery (© Google Earth, imagery date 1 March 2010), identified and reported by Jean-Charles Caillère. The enclosure is roughly bisected by a public road running WNW-ESE immediately N of the centre of the monument. A field boundary runs NNE-SSW across the northern portion of the enclosure, through the NW quadrant.
