An impressive high flat-topped platform (diam 26m NE-SW) enclosed by a low earth and stone bank which has been mainly reduced to a scarp (H 1.7-5m) with a wide flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 5-8m; D 1m) and an outer bank (Wth 3-5m; ext. H 2-3m) and a possible causewayed entrance (Wth 3.1m) at SE. The sit has been constructed out of a natural glacial hillock which has been cut through at SW, the material being dumped on top of the hill to form a raised platform. H 1.7m) and outer fosse (Wth 4m; D 0.5m) both of which are destroyed from NW through N to E. No entrance feature visible. Destruction of bank and fosse probably occurred between the first and current edition of the OS 6-inch map as the site is depicted as a full circular enclosure on 1st edition.
