Situated on top of a low hillock in undulating countryside with a poorly drained bog immediately to the N. A well-preserved impressive ring-barrow consisting of a naturally raised area (diam. 29m E-W) defined by a scarp and enclosed by a wide well-preserved fosse (Wth 3-6m; ext. D 1m) and outer bank (Wth 2.2m; ext. H 0.5-0.9m) with possible causewayed entrance (Wth 5m) at SE. The area to the NW of the ring-barrow represents a natural hillock the base of which has been scarped, with a modern trackway intersecting the hillock to the W of the barrow (Stout 1984, 83).
