D 0.5-1m) and outer scrub-covered bank (Wth 4m; max. ext. H 0.5m) NW-NE. Tobar Mocuda, which was venerated in May until the late 19th century (OS Name Books), is a pond (diam. 3.5m; D 0.5m) adjacent to the NW, but 'St Carthage's Stone Altar' which is described as a piece of masonry outside the bank at N (ibid.) can no longer be found. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 30m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by the remains of an earthen bank (Wth 3.5m; H 1.5m) with no visible fosse or entrance. It contained grave-markers and mounds (OS Name Book, 54) but these are no longer visible.
