The scarp is low from NW-N-E-S and is steep from SW-W. The exterior of the scarp has been quarried from S-SW. A wide, low inner bank is visible at W. The shallow intervening fosse and low outer bank are visible at W. The interior has a S-facing slope. A field fence running NE-SW traverses the monument. Monument described in 1978 as a rough limestone slab (H 1.7m; L 0.55m; Wth 0.4m) long-axis orientated NE-SW with a low mound of packing stones around the base. Monument described as a roughly oval-shaped area (dims. 62m NW-SE; 56m NE-SW) enclosed by a bank and external fosse with possible entrance at NE. The earth and stone bank (H 1-1.25m) is curvilinear in form from S-W-N-E and it has a slight indent from where it bulges outwards from E-S. The bank has several disturbance gaps. The wide, steep, U-shaped fosse is visible from SSW-W. The interior has a NE-facing slope and cultivation ridges are visible running NW-SE. There is a low platform in the SW quadrant. OS 25-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1971 as a roughly circular-shaped area enclosed by a bank with no clear entrance feature visible. There are gaps in the bank at NE and ESE and it has been modified from NE-ESE with a trench on the inner side of the bank to form a later field boundary. Situated on the plateau of a low hillock, in gently undulating pasture, with good views of Lough Ennell to SE. Ringfort (WM025-023----) lies c. 180m to SW. Not depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map or the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map. Levelled monument described in 1981 as a former system of earthworks of which very little trace now remains due to land reclamation. Some faint traces of earthworks are evident although they form no coherent pattern. There are slight traces of a bank, which may have formed an enclosure on the shoulder of the hillock. There are some ridges and hollows at the NW corner of the plateau. There are two almost parallel banks running roughly N-S which may have formed part of an enclosure. Monument described as a D-shaped area (dims. 27m NE-SW) enclosed by a bank visible from WSW-W-NNE and has been removed at SW. There is a modern gap at N and the ground is disturbed on the exterior. There is no fosse or entrance feature visible. The monument has been truncated across the SE sector during construction of a railway line. The remaining portion is divided form the railway by a linear retaining wall running NE-SW along the base of its embankment. The interior has a gentle SE-facing slope. A sub-rectangular-shaped depression with upcast spoil associated with a railway footbridge gate is visible in the SE quadrant. Monument described in 1976 as levelled yet partially traceable.
