Situated on a slight rise, in low-lying, wet pasture. Partially levelled monument described in 1977 as an oval-shaped area (dims. 41m E-W; 31m NNE-SSW) enclosed by a low preserved bank and shallow external fosse. The interior rises slightly toward the centre and there are shallow cultivation ridges running E-W. There is no trace of an entrance. Siting and morphology of earthwork suggests that this is not a ringfort. Wet marshy location may suggest the remains of a possible barrow. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner.
