The facility will include a single storey boathouse for the lifeboat. 2 supporting facilities block accommodation changing crew room workshop and office including single storey facility for the IWAI, with a total GFA of 368sq.m. The works will include the installation of holding tanks for foul sewerage with proposed vehicle and pedestrian access of the public car park. Situated on a slight rise, in pasture. Monument described in 1971 as a small oval-shaped area (approx. dims. 42m N-S; 39m E-W) defined by a low scarp. There is no visible trace of an outer fosse. The perimeter is formed by a relatively modern rubble wall from NW-N-NNE. There is no entrance feature visible. The interior is not readily visible as it is obscured by dense overgrowth. Situated on a gentle E-facing slope, in pasture with good views overlooking Coosan Lough to E and S. Partially levelled monument described in 1971 and 1976 as a subcircular-shaped area (40.5m N-S; 37.5m E-W) enclosed by traces of a low earthen bank from W-N-E-S, which has been incorporated into a field boundary from S-W. There is no definite trace of an eternal fosse. A modern stone wall has been built against the scarp from ESE-S-W. The original entrance is not recognisable. Souterrain described in 1971 as located within the W quadrant of a ringfort (WM022-038----), a depression full of small stones and debris amongst which part of the lintel of a souterrain is visible. It is no longer accessible. Monument described in 1976 as site of souterrain in W quadrant of ringfort visible as a depression in the ground with a very narrow entrance (approx. H 0.2m; Wth 0.3m).
