Monument surveyed by ASI in 1981 and described as following; 'An oval shaped enclosure bounded by remains of a wide low bank set on scarp and with slight remains of a shallow fosse from NE-N-NW. The site is now enclosed as a small field or paddock and the scarp has been rebuilt and partly faced with stone. The perimeter and part of the interior are overgrown with hawthorns and blackthorns. There is the outline of a large rectangular (WM032-047001-) house inside the bank on the N side. It is impossible to measure the site accurately because of the bushes. Sited on a gentle S facing slope in average pasture land' (SMR File 19/10/1981). Monument surveyed by ASI in 1971 and described as following; 'A small circular uneven enclosure (diam. 34.2m) bounded by a steep scarp with very slight remains of an earthen bank on its upper edge and with slight remains of a fosse at its foot. The bank is visible only from NE-E but even there it is fragmentary and it has been modified in relatively modern times to form parts of modern field boundaries. The scarp is defaced in several places by cattle and scrub roots. There are two wide modern gaps on the SE and SW. The original entrance way is not recognisable. A large portion of the interior is bounded by a low approx. circular scarp which is roughly concentric with the perimeter of the rath. In the edge of this and partly outside it are the remains of the stone foundations of a small rectangular hut (WM032-048001-). Just NW of the centre of the rath is a low irregular grass covered heap of stones. A local farmer of the townland remembers when people were living in the house within the rath about 1850. There were about 25 houses in the townland at that time and the local farmer stated that the series of depression and small banks near the rath bounded the small plots of land they had. The rath is largely overgrown with ash, thorn trees, briars etc.. Sited on a small prominent hillock and surrounded by gently undulating land of average to good pasture and tillage. Good views' (SMR File 24/06/1971). A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
