Marked only on the 1925 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in italic lettering as a windmill in ruins. It is 19th century in date and is situated at the top of a NW-facing slope. This is a tower of three storeys (ext. diam. of base 6.5m; int. diam. of base 4.3m; H c. 7.5m) with battered or sloping sides and traces of an external render. It has opposed lintelled doorways at E (Wth 0.97m; H 1.9m) and W (Wth 0.97m; H 1.86m) with granite surrounds. The first floor was supported on corbels at N and S and has rectangular windows with granite surrounds at N and S. The second floor was supported on corbels at N and S with a recessed ledge and has rectangular windows with granite surrounds at E and W. Part creeper- or ivy-covered fine roughcast wall to front (south) elevation with rusticated rendered piers to corners; lime rendered surface finish (remainder). Segmental-headed central door opening into farmhouse with concealed dressings framing glazed timber panelled double doors having fanlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dresings framing nine-over-six (ground floor) or three-over-six (first floor) timber sash windows without horns. Pitched and hipped slate roof on an L-shaped plan on collared timber construction with roll moulded clay ridge tiles extending into terracotta ridge tiles, creeper- or ivy-covered coping to gables, and no rainwater goods surviving on slate flagged eaves. Part creeper- or ivy-covered coursed rubble stone walls with cut- or hammered granite flush quoins to corners. Square-headed off-central door opening with cut-granite monolithic surround framing timber boarded door. Square-headed window openings with rough hewn granite sills, and red brick block-and-start surrounds supporting rough hewn granite lintels framing remains of timber fittings; (east): Detached five-bay single-storey mill owner's house with half-dormer attic on a T-shaped plan centred on single-bay single-storey projecting porch to ground floor.
