There is a small arm-chair arrangement of stones and bedrock creating a shelf (Wth 0.8m; D 0.7m) which was known locally as a place where Mass was celebrated (OSFM 1940). It is situated towards the bottom of the NE-facing slope of Ballyconran Hill. This is a subcircular, grass-covered area (dims 40m E–W; 37m N–S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.4-0.6m; ext. H 0.7-1.5m) with external stone cladding. There are some eighteenth- and nineteenth-century graves in the interior but there is no indication of a church. Located just off the crest of an E-facing slope overlooking the valley of the N-S Lask River, with the stream c. 1km to the E and c. 120m lower. This is a a raised D-shaped and grass-covered area (dims 25m NE-SW; 12m NW-SE; H 0.8-1m) in Clonamona Upper cut by the NE-SW field bank and townland boundary with Knockbrandon Upper at the NW. It has no visible fosse or entrance, and is not visible NW of the boundary. Hipped slate roof with clay or terracotta ridge tiles, paired cement rendered central chimney stacks having concrete capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves retaining cast-iron downpipes. Replacement cement rendered battered walls bellcast over rendered plinth. Hipped segmental-headed central door opening with timber mullions on cut-granite step threshold supporting timber transom, and concealed dressings framing timber boarded or tongue-and-groove timber panelled door having sidelights below fanlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing replacement uPVC casement windows replacing six-over-six timber sash windows.
