Located towards the bottom of a S-facing slope overlooking the basin of a canalised ESE-WNW stream that is c. 100m to the S. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 80m) defined by what might be the remains of an earthen bank is visible on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP S 330/329). It is situated on a NW-facing slope with a small canalised NE-SW stream c. 30m to the NW. It was completely excavated (E4206) by Y. Whitty when two spreads of broken and burnt stone (dims 5m x 9m; T 0.05m: 6m x 2.1m; T 0.1m) were found in conjunction with four pits (dims 0.68m x 0.49m; D 0.13m: 0.74m x 0.68m; D 0.37m: 1.2m x 0.83m; D 0.3-0.43m: 3.5m x 1.2m; D 0.4-0.88m). While no trough was identified, the largest pit may have served as a store for stones. Some iron was recovered from one of the burnt stone spreads, but it may be intrusive. It is situated on a NW-facing slope with a small canalised NE-SW stream c. 20m to the NW. It was completely excavated (E4209) by Y. Whitty when a rectangular trough (dims 2.64m NW-SE; 1.8m NE-SW; D 0.5-0.75m) was uncovered. It had a flat bottom that sloped down to the SE and a step cut in the SE side. The trough cut a pit (dims 1.6m x 1.4m; D 0.2m) on its SW side, but there was no stratigraphic relationship with two other pits (dims 3.3m N-S; 1.2m E-W; D 0.22m: 1.13m x 1.02m; D 0.33-0.4m) that were 4.1m SE and 1.5m NW of the trough. A small spread of burnt stone material (dims 3.4m N-S; 1.7m E-W; max. T 0.3m) covered the pit NW of the trough. The burnt mound (WX020-090----) is c. 50m to the SW and the fulacht fia (WX020-092----) is c. 35m to the NE. (Hardy 2012; Whitty 2013) Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 28 November, 2013

Identified in centre-line testing (E4110) in advance of the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy road scheme and set aside for resolution as Moyne Middle 2 (Hardy et al. 2010, 115). It is situated on a NW-facing slope with the headwaters of a small canalised NE-SW stream c. 10-20m to the NW. It was completely excavated (E4207) by Y. Whitty when a fragmented spread of broken and burnt stone (dims 19.5m x 10m; max. T 0.25m) was recorded overlying a timber-lined rectangular trough (dims 1.94m E-W; 1.42m N-S; D 0.25m), which had a small pit (diam. 1m; D 0.2m) adjacent to the NE. A spread of burnt-stone material (dims 14.5m x 6.5m; T 0.28m) extended to the SW of the rectangular trough overlying 8 pits (dims 1.1m x 0.7m; D 0.35m to 1.55m x 1.4m; D 0.45m), but none of the pits could be identified as a trough. A large spread of burnt stone material (dims 11m x 8.5m; T 0.3m) lay c. 13-20m upslope to the SE covering a large pit (dims 5.8m E-W; 1.2m N-S; D 0.34m), and there were two pits (dims 1.34m x 1m; D 0.12m: 1.25m x 1.22m; D 0.35m) c. 7-10m to the ENE of the rectangular trough. Two pieces of flint were recovered. The fulachta fia (WX020-091----; WX020-093----) are c. 35m to the SW and c. 65m to the NE respectively. Identified in centre-line testing (E4110) in advance of the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy road scheme and set aside for resolution as Moyne Middle 3 (Hardy et al. 2010, 116-17). It is situated at the bottom of a NW-facing slope with the headwaters of a small canalised NE-SW stream immediately to the N. It was partially excavated (E4215) by Y. Whitty when a rectangular trough (dims 2.28m NW-SE; 1.8m NE-SW; D 0.6m) with timbers on its flat base was recorded close to another trough (dims 1.6m plus x 1.3m plus; D 0.8m) immediately to its N at the edge of the excavation. There was a small pit (dims 0.62m x 0.6m; D 0.2m) nearby. A third, irregularly-shaped trough (dims 2.18m x 1.2m; D 0.53m) with timbers was 16m SW of the other two. All these features were beneath a burnt stone mound (dims 14m E-W; 9m plus N-S; max. T 0.4m) with smaller satellite deposits in the area. Three other pits (dims 1.9m x 1.62m; D 0.44m: 1.3m x 1.2m; D 0.4m: 0.85m x 0.68m; D0.18m) were outside the mound and produced most of the lithic artefacts recovered from secure contexts.
