Located on a slight E-facing slope in the valley of the N-S Corock River, with the meandering stream c. 160-220m to the E. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) defined by a single continuous fosse and with one internal pit is visible on aerial photographs (MM (46) 18-20). A magnetic gradiometer survey (20R0129) over an extensive area confirmed the existence of the rath but with no significant internal features (Nicholls 2020, F 19, Figs 9, 22). However, an entrance gap (Wth c. 3m) at S was also detected. See the enhanced view from Nicholls (2020, Fig. 9). Located on a gently undulating shelf in the valley of the N-S Corock River, with the meandering stream c. 300m to the E. The cropmark of a rectangular enclosure (int. dims c. 40m N-S; c. 25m E-W) defined by two sets of ditch or moat features (ext. dims c. 55m N-S; c. 40m E-W) is visible on aerial photographs (ASIAP (436) 22, 23) and on digital aerial photographs (WX040-095_1 to _6) taken in 2006. A magnetic gradiometer survey (20R0129) over an extensive area confirmed the existence of the moated site, and also recognised the drains of a field system directly related to it extending off to the N and E which covers about 4 ha (c. 10 acres) (Nicholls 2020, 9 F 24-29, Fig. 9). The fields are generally rectangular (dims c. 30m x c. 20m to c. 60m x c. 50m) defined by single ditches and with regimes of cultivation ridges usually confined to individual fields. Located on a gently undulating shelf in the valley of the N-S Corock River, with the meandering stream c. 200m to the E at the closest point. A magnetic gradiometer survey (20R0129) over an extensive area confirmed the existence of the moated site (WX040-095----), and also recognised the drains of a field system directly related to it extending off to the N and E which covers about 2.5 ha (c. 7 acres). The fields are generally rectangular (dims c. 30m x c. 20m to c. 60m x c. 50m) defined by single ditches and with regimes of cultivation ridges usually confined to individual fields. These fields merge into larger rectangular fields usually defined by double ditches further to the N and E that are depicted on the 1839 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on a NE-facing slope, with ta N-S section of the Corock River c. 250m to the ENE. A magnetic gradiometer survey (20R0129) over an extensive area identified a small enclosure (diam. c. 15m) defined by a fosse, with an opening (Wth c. 5m) at SE. There may be two or three internal pits, but the defining ditch appears to cut the ENE-WSW cultivation ridges that run parallel with the present shorter field banks.
