Situated on a gentle E-facing slope on the lower SE slopes of Baltinglass Hill. Undivided church (int. dims. 15.6m x 7.5m) aligned ESE-WNW and defined by uncoursed rubble walls (max. H 1.2m). There is a possible door in the W wall. The church lies towards the N side of a circular enclosure (diam. 51m) defined by a stone and earth bank (Wth 2.6-3.4m; max. H 1.5m) with a basal revetment of boulders surviving in places. No indication of an entrance or grave-markers. Situated on a gentle E-facing slope on the lower SE slopes of Baltinglass Hill. A circular enclosure (ext. diam. 53m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.6–3.4m; H up to 1.5m). The bank is faced with loose rubble (mainly small stones) and has a near vertical external face. On the E side a basal course of boulders is visible. Remains of a church (WI027-027001-) lie in the N of the interior which slopes gently down from W to E and is uneven. A graveyard (WI027-027003-) is indicated on the 1839 and 1910 editions of the OS maps but no gravemarkers are visible. Standing on a level rounded platform projecting NE with extensive views to N towards Spinans and E towards Brusselstown, Kilranelagh Hill and Keadeen Mountain. Rathcoran hillfort (WI027-026001-) 230m to W. Present remains consist of a megalithic chamber with a capstone formed by an inverted L-shaped boulder sitting on several boulders/uprights with traces of a ruinous cairn. Landowner thinks rest of cairn would have been robbed out when they were building stone walls and a drainage channel running NW-SE located immediately to W. Possible ring of kerbstones visible. Possible either second chamber (or original length of chamber if major alterations) to rear (W) represented by a rectangular arrangement of stones to ground surface. Entrance facing NE.
