Situated on a gentle E-facing slope. Only the E end of a rectangular structure (present L 6m; int. Wth 6.2m) survives, defined by rubble foundations (Wth 1-1.4m; H 0.4m) and standing on a low plinth (H 1m). The church remains are in the NE end of the graveyard. The graveyard is rectangular in shape (dims c. 50m NE-SW; 30m NW-SE) and defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.6-2m; H 0.4-2m) with drystone facing. The entrance (Wth 2.3m) is between granite pillars at the SW. There are some eighteenth-century headstones within the church ruins. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). ## Architectural heritage (National Inventory of Architectural Heritage)

- Glenart Castle, gate lodge, 1885–1890, Regional interest, registry number 16404002, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=WI&regno=16404002. Detached two-bay one and a half-storey gate lodge, built c.1888. The gate lodge is constructed in random rubble granite with ashlar granite dressings. The structure incorporates a small round tower, a bartizan and a splayed gabled dormer window. It is joined to a semi-circular arched gate with crow-stepped parapet. Window and door openings are flat-headed. The entrance is to the ground floor of the tower and consists of a timber door with studs and strap hinges. The windows have lattice-paned timber frames; some windows have stone mullions. The mainly pitched roof is finished with natural slate and has cast-iron rainwater goods and a stone chimneystack. The gate lodge is slightly set back from the road.
