Free-standing Renaissance style three–stage granite clock tower, built 1843, possibly to designs by John Louch, with cupola added in 1860 by Sir George Moyers. The tower is square in plan with the ground floor level acting as a bevelled base course and string courses separating the upper stages. At ground level is a pedestrian doorway to north and projecting cast iron fountain spouts to east and west, whilst to each side of the first stage are moulded panels with further smaller panels to the uppermost stage and the clock face to the north. Each side is topped with a pediment whilst the whole edifice is surmounted with a copper-domed cupola with weathervane. Semi-circular former fountain basins flanking the tower now act as flower beds. The large platform on which the tower is set is faced in undressed granite and incorporates water troughs and splayed steps, the latter leading to a public area around the tower with further flower beds and bench seating. The tower prominently located on a large raised platform at the centre of the village of Enniskerry. - House, 1870–1880, Regional interest, registry number 16302014, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=WI®no=16302014. Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1875, with single storey hipped roof bay windows. The façade is finished in a c.1970s-80s ‘Tyrolean’ render and painted, whilst the slated pitched roof has a slight overhang with exposed rafter ends and rendered chimneystacks. The centrally located flat-headed entrance is reached via stone steps and has a panelled timber door, plain rectangular fanlight and painted stone jambs with decorative moulded brackets supporting a cornice hood. Flanking the entrance are the canted bay windows which have slated hipped roofs and timber sash frames with segmental headed windows to first floor with similar frames and painted stone sills. Cast iron rainwater goods. Small garden to front bounded to roadside by low rubble stone wall. - Enniskerry Carnegie Free Library, 1910–1915, Regional interest, registry number 16302015, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=WI®no=16302015. Detached seven-bay single storey Arts & Crafts influenced library, built 1911 to designs by R.M. Butler. Basically rectangular in plan with a large gabled projection to front flanked by small flat-roofed diagonal projections and large square hipped roof bay windows. The façade is in unpainted roughcast with brick quoins whilst the slated roof has an overhang with plain barges to the front gable and rendered chimneystack to the northwest side. The segmental-headed entrance is set within the large projection and consists of a panelled and painted timber door with a Queen Anne-style stone surround incorporating lugged moulding, keystone, rusticated jambs and projecting cornice with blocking course. Above the entrance is a date panel and moulded Powerscourt crest. The windows are flat-headed with typically Edwardian-style multi-pane timber frames and stone sills and lintel mouldings. The large bay windows have low pitched slated hipped roofs. Aluminium rainwater goods. Low rendered boundary wall to front with simple decorative wrought iron railings and pedestrian gate. - Saint Mary's and Saint Gerard's National School, 1935–1945, Regional interest, registry number 16302016, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=WI®no=16302016. Detached, multiple-bay single-storey school, built 1940, in granite with a main hipped-roofed section fronted by a lower flat-roofed entrance projection with wings and large, c.1990, single-storey extension to northwest. The granite façade of the original building is rock-faced with the overhanging hipped-roof slated. The entrance is set within a centrally located recessed bay and consists of an open flat-roofed porch with dressed granite splayed reveal and panelled timber and glazed double door. Most of the flat-headed windows have timber sash frames whilst others at clerestorey level have metal frames; stone sills; cast iron rainwater goods. The extension is in a more overtly modern style with informal plan, moulded concrete façade, large uPVC framed windows and corrugated-metal clad hipped roof. - Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 1855–1860, Regional interest, registry number 16302017, https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=WI®no=16302017. Detached five-bay single-storey gable-fronted Gothic church, built 1859 to designs by Patrick Byrne, with (possibly later) corner three-stage buttressed tower and spire and projecting two-storey sacristy to northwest corner and single storey porch to south. The pointed arch windows have splayed reveals, moulded drip stones and granite tracery forming paired cusped lancets with quatrefoils to nave and tower windows, with that to the front gable incorporating a rose window and that to the west gable with more complex tracery in the decorated manner; some windows are filled with pictorial stained glass others with small plain leaded panes.
