End-of-terrace five-bay two-storey hotel, built c.1840, but with the façade remodelled c.1910. The façade is finished in painted rusticated render to the ground floor level and pebbledash to the first floor level, with decorative mouldings to the windows and wall edges. The hipped roof is covered in artificial slate and has rendered chimneystacks. To the south elevation there is a pubfront with partly glazed timber door and two large plate glass windows all encased by moulded panelled pilasters and aprons, and a painted signboard over. There is a decorative open porch around this pubfront constructed in cast-iron with a glazed roof. To the west side of the pubfront is a small timber shopfront (belonging to the café) with partly glazed door, large plate glass window timber pilaster jams and signboard. To the east of the pubfront is a more ‘informal’ pubfront with widely spaced door and window and long signboard over. To the east elevation there is another pub entrance with three widely spaced windows and a long signboard. The windows themselves are largely flat-headed and filled with a variety of frames. The pub / shop windows are either filled with plate glass or replacement timber frames with top-hung openings, whilst the uniform first floor windows are filled with one over one and six over six timber sash frames. Detached five-bay two-storey house, built c.1790, extended by two bays c.1860. The house is finished in plain render with moulded quoins, with the front façade painted. The slated pitched roof is gable-ended to the north and hipped to the south and has rendered chimneystacks. The house entrance consists of a panelled timber door and semi-circular fanlight with ‘petal’ tracery, all encased in a Gibbsian surround with stone steps to the door itself. To the south side of the house entrance is a late 19th / early 20th-century pubfront in two sections; that further south consisting of a panelled timber double door flanked by three pane windows, that to the north simply two windows (though one may once have been a doorway). The pubfront openings are encased by panelled timber pilaster jambs with decorative brackets, and over is a long signboard with raised lettering. The house and upper floor windows are flat-headed and have one over one timber sash frames. All of the ground floor windows have roller shutters over. Cast-iron rainwater goods. There are further pub windows with similar jambs and a signboard to the north-east elevation. The house entrance (to the west side of the north elevation) consists of a panelled and glazed timber door and the flat-headed house windows have two over two timber sash frames and four pane replacement timber frames. The original house entrance which now serves the shop to the north side and the apartment, consists of a panelled timber double door and rectangular fanlight encased with slender pilaster jambs. To the north is a shop window with pilasters and replacement timber frames. To south is a similar ‘shop’ window, with smaller window next to it and a mainly glazed door next to this, all with jambs as before. A long timber signboard with cornice stretches over all the ground floor openings. The first floor windows are flat-headed and have one over one timber sash frames. Detached six-bay single-storey gable-fronted Board of First Fruits Gothic style Church of Ireland church with integral three-stage tower, built 1796, but part rebuilt 1837-38 and chancel added c.1870. The church is roughly rectangular with the tower to the west front flanked by side porches, and a relatively shallow gabled chancel to east and vestry projection to the south-east. The walls are finished in unpainted render with granite quoins and dressings. The pitched roof is covered in slate and has stone parapets. The lean-to roofs of the side porches are also slated and have stepped parapets with pinnacles, with a crenellated parapet with similar pinnacles to the tower. The main entrance is to the west face of the tower and consists of a timber double door with decorative strap hinges and a pointed arch fanlight with Gothick tracery, all set in a moulded granite reveal. The windows are mainly pointed arch and filled with timber frames with lattice glazing; the east window has stained glass and the windows to the uppermost stage of the tower have ogee heads.
