About half of an oval or circular enclosure (max. diam. 78m) of which the NE portion has been removed. It is defined by a wall (Wth 3m), consisting of an inner and outer facing of continuous kerbing with a core of smaller stones and some earth, and in part by a stony bank (Wth 4-5.4m). At the W the wall has been incorporated into the modern field boundary. Listed as an 'enclosure' in the SMR (1986) based on aerial photographic evidence (GSIAP O 73/ N 332 (1973)). The enclosure was marked in the wrong location on the published RMP map of Co. Wicklow. A field visit to the wrong location in 1989 determined that it was an irregular rock-strewn area and not of archaeological significance. This enclosure is visible on the Air Corps aerial photograph taken in 1939 (see attached image) where it is shown in the field to the SE of the published RMP location. The curving arc of a hedgerow or bushes appears to follow the E enclosing element of the enclosure and is visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph and earlier OSI aerial photographs. A parcel is the land of a title, not an address. The owner's name is in the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann: a copy of the folio can be ordered on landdirect.ie, for a fee; this site names no owner. A price is the price recorded for a past sale, not a valuation.
