  Description

  In improved pasture, on a N-facing slope. Large oval area (overall dims. 75m N-S; 87m E-W) incorporating a graveyard (TS060-064004-) within the E quadrant. The remaining sub-oval area (dims. 56m N-S; 40m E-W), forming the western portion of the enclosure, is defined by a bank (overall Wth 6.9-8.85m; Wth at top 1-1.35m; int. H 0.35-0.65m; H 0.3-0.7m) SE-NE. The interior is grass covered and has a gentle N-facing slope. There is a large stone within the NE-sector. Earthworks (TS060-064002-) extend (long-axis E-W) from SSW and WNW. Field boundaries (long axis WNW-ESE and long-axis NW-SE) are c. 7m to N and 26m to W respectively.   Description

  In improved pasture, on a N-facing slope. Adjoining SE-corner, within ecclesiastical enclosure (TS060-064001-). Small enclosed L-shaped area (dims. 18m N-S; 16m E-W; short return to E: 12m E-W; 11m N-S) defined by low bank (overall Wth 3.35m; Wth at top 1.5m; int. H 0.2m; H 0.15m) to W and N. Linear earthwork (long-axis E-W) defined as a bank (L 26m; H 0.15m at N and S) extends from bank of ecclesiastical enclosure (TS060-064001-) at WNW. Second similar earthwork (long-axis E-W) defined as a bank (L 14m; int. H 0.2m; H 0.15m) extends from SSW of same and is reduced to scarp (L 22m) at W extent.   Description

  In improved pasture, on a N-facing slope, within graveyard (TS060-064004-). No visible surface trace but a dense growth of vegetation with a small rectangular, sunken area (dims. 5.5m ENE-WSW; 3.25m NNW-SSSE) c. 6m to SW. Defined by earthen bank to the N and E sides (overall Wth 4.1m; Wth at top 0.6m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.55m) and collapsed remains of a low wall (Wth 0.9m; int. H 0.3m; ext.   Description

  In improved pasture, on a N-facing slope. Forming the E quadrant of a large enclosure (TS060-064001-) this graveyard consists of a sub-rectangular area (dims. c. 40m NE-SW; c. 30m NW-SE) defined by inner bank (overall Wth 3.35-4.35m; Wth at top 0.7-1.2m; int. H 0.45-0.7m; ext. H 0.6-0.95m). One course of kerbing, comprising of large stones (L 0.2-0.3m) defining bank exterior at S-end of E-side and smaller stones (L 0.05m) within. Fosse (overall Wth 3.75m; basal Wth 1.7m; D 0.1m) to E, S and W-side which is best preserved (overall Wth 4.45m; basal Wth 1.9m; D 0.4m) along S-side. Outer bank (overall Wth 3.45m; Wth at top 1.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.25m) to S-side. Gap (overall Wth 3m; basal Wth 2m) in inner bank at S. Interior of monument is densely overgrown with nettles and whitethorn. No visible surface trace of any gravemarkers. Field boundary (long-axis ENE-WSW) c. 9m to N. • Castlelake Mill, miller's house, 1800–1820 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached three-bay two-storey former miller's house, built c. 1810, now disused. Hipped slate roof with brick chimneystacks and terracotta ridge tiles. Roughcast rendered walls. Square-headed six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows with tooled limestone sills. Square-headed door opening with paned overlight and timber battened door. Remains of watermill and former millrace with culverts to south of site.

• Castlelake Mill, mill (water), 1800–1820 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached multiple-phase double-pile multiple-bay four-storey with attic former corn mill, built c. 1810, with projection to south-west elevation. Now disused and roofless, with stone eaves course. Remains of brick chimneystack to south-east elevation. Coursed rubble limestone walls with dressed limestone quoins and having straight joint to north-west elevation. Square-headed window openings, some with timber lintels. Former millrace and culverts to north-west.

• Ballinamona House, house, 1810–1830 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached L-plan three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1820, with rear return to one side, lower two-bay two-storey addition to return, and having two-bay lean-to addition to rear of other side. Later projecting hipped slate roofed porch to front. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Pitched slate roof to addition. Painted lined-and-ruled rendered walls, slate-hung to gable of lean-to addition. Segmental-headed tripartite window openings to ground floor front, square-headed elsewhere, with six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows, all with limestone sills. Variety of timber sliding sash windows to rear elevation of return. Round-headed door opening to porch interior having spoked fanlight and timber panelled door. Glazed timber door and windows to porch. Segmental-arched carriage gateway to yard to rear of house. Multiple-bay double-height outbuildings having pitched and lean-to slate roofs and painted rendered walls. West range has bellcote to north gable, wide windbreak to segmental-arched entrance and having spoked diocletian window above. Snecked rubble limestone piers with carved caps and decorative double-leaf cast-iron gates.
