Description
In marshy, uncultivated ground adjacent to stream. Burnt material visible in section (12m N-S; D 1m) on both sides of recently cut channel through which stream now flows. Burnt material and boulder clay, removed from channel, are piled up on each side obscuring E-W dimensions of fulacht fiadh. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
