Description
In quarry, built against rock outcrop. Front (H 5.5m; Wth c. 6m) W-facing; arched recess (H 2m; Wth 2.55m; D 2.6m). Funnel barrel-shaped in cross section, brick-lined at base, stone lined higher up. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
