  Description

  Internal diam. 42.3 NE-SW, 40.4 NW-SE. Rathdonnell Fort is a subcircular area enclosed by a massive earthen bank up to 1.3m in height on the interior and from 3.5m to 4m on the exterior. To the SE there are vague traces of a shallow ditch and 7.5m to the SW a smaller earthen bank, continuing as a field boundary, follows the curve of the enclosure. It is not clear whether either of these features are original. The bank is now planted with trees and the monument has been interfered with including the entrance to the E which has been landscaped. In the SE sector is an oval (1.7m × 1m) underground dry stone structure roofed with slabs. It is believed to be a well (DG052-007002-). Otherwise the interior is level. It is located on top of a low hill in good pasture land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' • Bellaned Bridge, bridge, 1780–1800 · Regional interest
  Description

  Double-arch bridge, built c.1790, carrying road over Lennan River, comprising two river arches, one wide segmental and other smaller slightly pointed segmental, and having two small flood arches to northwest, one at river bank and one further from river. Random rubble walling and parapets, latter with copings of large field-stones, and with field-stone voussoirs. Flanked by rubble stone walls.

• Rathdonnell House, country house, 1730–1735 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached five-bay two-storey house with basement and dormer attic, built c.1734, and having external stone steps to front (northeast) elevation, and single-storey over basement addition to rear. Pitched slate roof with blue ridge tiles, raised eaves course, replacement rainwater goods and roughcast-rendered T-plan chimneystacks with clay pots. Pitched slate roofs to dormers. Roughcast-rendered and painted walls. Square-headed openings with painted concrete sills and timber sliding sash windows, six-over-six pane to ground floor and six-over-three pane to first floor, and with some replacement windows elsewhere. Square-headed glazed timber panelled door with spoked overlight and cast-ironmongery, approached by two flights of seven steps set parallel to entrance. Lawns to front, row of single-storey outbuildings to west, and ringfort to west approached by series of stone steps. Rubble stone wall to road with square-plan piers having wrought-iron gate.
