Who owns a land parcel
The owner of registered land is named on its folio, at the Land Registry of Tailte Éireann.
- Find the parcel here: its townland, its boundary on the map and its area.
- Open it on landdirect.ie, the Land Registry's service, whose map leads to the folio of a registered parcel.
- Order the folio, for a fee set by the Land Registry: it names the registered owner and the charges on the land.
Land that was never registered is recorded in the Registry of Deeds, also run by Tailte Éireann. The Land Registry's map does not settle boundaries on the ground: they are not conclusive (Registration of Title Act 1964, section 85).

Everytownland shows the registered freehold parcels of Tailte Éireann (CC BY 4.0) and never names an owner: the open data does not carry them.
