Description
Archaeological testing in 2001 identified heat cracked stones which probably derived from a fulacht fiadh (Tobin 2003, 91). This site was excavated in 2003. A narrow trough was revealed (L 1.2m, Wth 0.80m). No artefacts were recovered (Tobin 2006, 107).

Description
This d-shaped enclosure (Wth 52m E-W, 49m N-S) is evident as a cropmark on aerial photographs taken in 2005 SE of Newcastle village. There is evidence for a double ditch along the NW and an entrance causeway in the NNW (pers. comm. Siobhain Mc Dermott).

Description
Detached six-bay two-storey farmhouse, c.1900. Timber casement windows. Roughcast rendered walls with smooth rendered base course. Shallow lean-to projection to ground floor of front elevation with slate roof and glazed timber door set into screen. Pitched slate roof with raised gables and rendered chimney stacks. Outbuildings to east. Anderson shelter located in grounds, in use as store.
