• GA106-038 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a rise in low-lying pastureland. This large subcircular rath (c. 75m N-S; c. 65m E-W), in fair condition, is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is visible from N through E to W; from W to NW a scarp forms the enclosing element. The fosse survives around the S half of the monument and the outer bank is extant only from S to WNW. A road encircles it from NW through E to S. A gap (Wth 9m) at WNW may be original. • GA106-112001 Children's burial ground
  Description

  In low-lying pastureland. This children's burial ground consists of an unenclosed subrectangular area (c. 18m N-S; c. 14m E-W) within which numerous set stones, running in N-S rows, indicate graves aligned E-W. Within the NW sector of the interior a box-like grave plot (L 1.2m; Wth 0.5m) is defined by a number of set stones. St Brendan’s Well (GA106-112002-) lies c. 15m to the SSE. • GA106-112002 Ritual site - holy well
  Description

  Circa 15m to the SSE of a children's burial ground (GA106-112001-). This spring well is enclosed by a very poorly preserved circular drystone surround (diam. c. 2m). A small mound of stones lies immediately to its N; it is unclear whether it is associated with the well. Some 8m to its S lies a modern well, which according to local information, was sunk c. 1940.
