  Description

  In pasture on the W-facing slope of a steep hill but below the steep incline of Arroo peak which rises over the location to the E. This is a single chamber (dims c. 3m E-W; 1.7m N-S; H 0.75m) wider at W, with a single roofstone and slight evidence of a cairn. The possible stone pair (LE003-002----) is situated c. 25m to the E. (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 49-50) The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). There is a mention of an old field wall (deValera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 49-50) running SW from the enclosure (LE003-002001-) E of the wedge tomb (LE003-001001-).   Description

  In pasture on the W-facing slope of a steep hill but below the steep incline of Arroo peak which rises over the location to the E. Two large sandstone uprights (N stone: dims 2m x 0.75m; max. H 2.4m; S stone: 1.9m x 0.6m; max. H 2.95m) are both aligned E-W and stand with their long sides just 0.8m apart. They may be part of a split boulder, and are incorporated into the wall of a sheep shelter (LE003-003001-). The wedge tomb (LE003-001001-) is situated c. 25m to the W.   Description

  In pasture on the W-facing slope of a steep hill but below the steep incline of Arroo peak which rises over the location to the E. There is a small drystone wall enclosure (dims c. 6m x c. 4m) which may be a hut-site or more likely a sheepfold built around the standing stone pair (LE003-002001-) (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 49-50).   Description

  Marked only on the 1910 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in italic lettering as a ‘Pile of Stones’. It is situated on a slight rise in a broad plateau on the line of the unbuilt townland boundary between Aghanish to the W and Aroo to the E.   Description

  Marked only on the 1910 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in italic lettering as a ‘Pile of Stones’. It is located on the unbuilt townland boundary between Aghanlish to the W and Aroo to the E, and it is situated on a broad plateau with the NW angle of Aroo Lough c. 100m to the SE.
