In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Modern parochial house on site of chapel. No trace of original church visible except for a holy water stoup. (CLAJ 1935, 238).

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Medieval church of Collon, a grange of Mellifont Abbey, stood near present Protestant church on slight mound at W end of ridge. Featureless fragment of N wall survives. (CLAJ 1944, 280).

Description
Situated N of the present Protestant church, rectangular shaped area enclosed by a wall (1835 OS 6-inch map dims. c. 70m E-W; c. 26m N-S). Contains a large number of 18th century graveslabs, one of which commemorates a 16th century interment. The earliest burials appear to be on the higher ground which slopes steeply at the NW.
