Description
Detached three-bay single-storey railway station, opened 1862; extant 1895, on a rectangular plan with three-bay single-storey platform (south) elevation. Renovated. Replacement pitched artificial slate roof with roll moulded clay ridge tiles, paired red brick Running bond central chimney stacks having concrete capping supporting terracotta pots, timber bargeboards to gables, and uPVC rainwater goods on timber eaves boards on timber box eaves. Part repointed tuck pointed snecked rock faced walls with drag edged rock faced cut-limestone flush quoins to corners. Triangular-headed window openings with square-headed window openings to platform (south) elevation, drag edged dragged cut-limestone sills, and drag edged rock faced cut-limestone surrounds framing replacement timber casement windows having overlights replacing two-over-two timber sash windows. Set in own grounds.

Description
Freestanding single-bay single-stage over raised base signal box, extant 1895, on a rectangular plan. Now disused. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond "wallhead" central chimney stack to rear (south) elevation having corbelled stepped capping supporting terracotta pot, timber bargeboards to gables on timber purlins, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves boards on exposed timber rafters retaining cast-iron downpipes. Red brick English Garden Wall bond walls (base) on red brick header bond chamfered cushion course on red brick English Garden Wall bond plinth; "weather boarded" timber surface finish (cabin). Camber-headed window openings (base) with sills, and red brick voussoirs framing fixed-pane fittings. Square-headed "monitor window" (cabin) with timber sill, and timber mullions framing four-between-four sash windows. Interior retaining levers. Set on platform in grounds shared with Castlebar Railway Station.

Description
Freestanding single- or three-bay single-storey passenger shelter, extant 1917, on a symmetrical plan. Now disused. Pitched slate roof abutting bitumen felt-covered lean-to roof on cast-iron spandrels with lichen-covered terracotta ridge tiles, timber bargeboards to gables on timber purlins with finials now missing, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves boards on exposed timber rafters retaining cast-iron downpipes. Part creeper- or ivy-covered roughcast walls on rendered plinth with rusticated rendered quoins to corners. Square-headed central opening with rendered "bas-relief" surround framing timber boarded fitting. Square-headed flanking window openings with concrete sills[?], and rendered "bas-relief" surrounds framing timber casement windows. Set on platform in grounds shared with Castlebar Railway Station.
