  Description

  Marked as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on the 1837 and 1928 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle E-facing slope in an undulating landscape. Subrectangular or D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 34m NE-SW; 32.5m NW-SE) defined by a curved earthen bank (at WNW: Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.4m) WSW-NE and by straight field banks and walls with hedges at E, S and W. There is no visible fosse, and there is a modern entrance (Wth 3m) at NNE. Rath (RO032-041----) is c. 160m to the WNW.   Description

  Marked as a circular enclosure described in gothic lettering as 'Lisnamoe Fort (fort of the cows)' on the 1837 and 1928 eds of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated on a low knoll in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 35m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.5m at E to 6m at W; int. H 0.4-0.6m; ext. H 0.9-1.1m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. The S part of the interior has a large quarry (diam. 10-12m; D 2.5m).   Description

  Marked as a circular enclosure on the 1837 and 1928 eds of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as 'Lisheen Fort' (Little fort). It is situated on a gentle E-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 29.2m N-S; 28.2m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3-5m; int. H 0.3-0.9m; ext. H 0.8-1.1m), which is incorporated into a field bank with an outer fosse or ditch (Wth of top 4m; Wth of base 2.4m; D 0.2m) SW-NW. There is an entrance (Wth 2.6m) at SE and an oval mound (dims 3.8m ENE-WSW; 2.3m N-S; H 0.1-0.2m) just N of the centre. Standing stone (RO032-045002-) is 18m outside the perimeter at SW.   Description

• RO032-047 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a hillock in an undulating landscape. Grass-covered, naturally raised subcircular area (dims 42.3m N-S; 38.2m E-W) defined by an overgrown flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 12.3-15m; Wth of base 2.9-3.5m; int. D 3-4m; ext. D 2-3m) and an overgrown outer bank (Wth 7.6-10m; H 0.1-0.6m). There is an entrance on the platform (Wth 3.6m) and a causeway (Wth of top 3m; Wth of base 8.3m; H 1.5m) at ESE, but the entrance through the outer bank is obscured by debris (max. ext. dims 73m N-S; 71m E-W).
