  Description

  Detached irregular-plan two-storey former gate lodge, built c.1865, with mainly three-bay elevations. Now in use as private house. Comprises central block with gable-fronted projection to northeast containing front doorway, rear block with gables, and canted bay window and garden doorway. Single-storey flat-roofed extension to southwest corner and mono-pitch extension to northwest. Pitched slate roofs having rendered chimneystacks. Snecked squared limestone walls, rendered to the east and part of west elevations. Six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows to canted bay window, and replacement windows elsewhere, set in square-headed openings with cut limestone label-mouldings and sills. Round-headed archway to northeast having cast and wrought-iron panels giving access to yard. Bridge with render piers gives access to site. Four-bay single-storey outbuilding to southwest.

  Description

  Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1920, with pedimented central projecting entrance bay. Hipped pantile roof with rendered chimneystacks. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls with render quoins. Square-headed window openings with paired timber casement windows and raised render surrounds. Entrance bay has square-plan columns supporting entablature, in turn supporting balcony in form of portico with square-plan columns, pediment and balustrade, and framing timber panelled and glazed doors with sidelights, having coloured glass to each floor. Vehicular gate flanked by pedestrian gates to road having wrought and cast-iron gates.
