  Description

  According to local information there is a possible field system at this location. However, the evidence suggests that the field boundary, which consists of a drystone wall, approximately 3 courses high, post dates the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch sheet. The wall appears to be that which is clearly visible on digitalglobe (viewed 15 August 2016), running ENE-WSW for approximately 100m. It forms the S boundary of a field which is indicated on the 2nd (1905) ed. 6-inch OS map. This field and the field immediately to the E and S have become neglected and are heavily overgrown with gorse/scrub. This rough terrain is also visible on the photograph taken in 1995.   Description

  A granite stone (L 0.8m; Wth 0.7m; T 0.4m) situated alongside a dry-stone field fence from which it had fallen in 2008. Good views W towards Mount Brandon and Mount Leinster to the N. It appears that the decorated surface was facing into the field fence and was not previously visible. The decoration consists of four cup marks (diam 4.5-5cm; D 1cm) and rings that form a cluster at one end of the stone. From one of the cup marks a short line extends out towards the outer ring (diam. 20cm). This circle conjoins the other three cup and ring motifs. The largest motif consists of a cup enclosed by a ring (diam. 16cm) which in turn is enclosed by an outer half ring (diam. 30cm). The original location is not known.   Description

  On a steep SW facing slope, two large flat slabs (S stone: H 1.8m, L 1.8m, T 0.2m; N stone: H. 2m, Wth 2m, T 0.6m) aligned NW-SE. A smaller upright slab (H c. 1m) blocks the gap between the two slabs at one end and forms a triangular chamber at the other end. Animal bones were noted in the space between the stones in 2010.
