  Description

  The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 According to local tradition, stood adjacent to Garryhill House. No definite visible traces. Wall of walled garden and part of S side of stable yard regarded as part of castle. Shape of garden suggests possible bawn. Date stone (TB 1690) incorporated in gateway to garden.

  Description

  Detached three-bay two-storey over basement house, c. 1750, with central breakfront having stone doorcase approached by flight of steps and gable ends. Renovated, c. 1800, with openings remodelled. Extended. Interior retains original features including chimney pieces and staircase.
