  Description

  The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 16 December 2009 Revised by: J. Farrelly According to O'Donovan (OSL 1839, 126), 'small and little frequented burial ground … with faint traces of foundation of Church'. According to two inquisitions held in 1538, belonged to friary at Graney, County Kildare (JKAS 1933, 301-2). Font recorded (JKAS 1933, 302). The church is depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map, roughly centrally placed within a graveyard (CW013-023003-), and is described as being in ruins but by the later OS ed. the church is described as 'Site of'. Neither font nor church remains visible.
