The route commences in Lowtown, County Kildare, passes through County Laois and finishes in St. Mullins, County Carlow. The proposal will involve works to or within the curtilage of the following protected structures: An Environmental Impact Statement and Natura Impact Statement have been prepared in respect of the project and are submitted with the application.

Description
Detached three-bay single-cell Gothic Revival Church of Ireland church, c. 1803, with Board of First Fruits style tower having parapet with corner pinnacles. Extensively reconstructed, c. 1870, with nave, chancel and vestry projection rebuilt.

Description
Detached three-bay two-storey over basement former glebe house, c. 1813, with round-headed door opening and tripartite window openings. Now in private residential use. Interior retains some original decorative plasterwork and chimney pieces.
