  Description

  Raised circular area (int. diam. 39m) enclosed by two earthen banks with wide, deep, waterlogged intermediate fosse. The external bank is slight; the inner much more substantial. Original entrance at SSE represented by corresponding breaks in banks accompanied by causeway. Break in outer bank has been narrowed in relatively recent times. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
