  Description

  Marked 'Fort' on OS 1836 and 1876 eds. The site is now occupied by a small circular, apparently natural earthen mound (diam. c. 23m). However, the field in which the site is situated, is locally known as 'The Fort Field' which may imply the former presence of an antiquity here. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
