The overall route runs from a point located approximately 170 metres south east of Blake's Corner on the N85 National Road to a point located approximately 180 metres west of Blakes Corner on the N67 National Road, via Bogbere Street. The development includes the pedestrianisation of the existing bridge, the inclusion of a roundabout at the Western end of the proposed new bridge crossing on the L-1084 and the relocation of the existing public car park adjacent to New Road ( N85 ),. The development also includes the demolition of three existing properties ( two retail/residential units and one residential unit ) in the Ennistymon Architectural Conservation Area and would materially affect the character of the area concerned. In accordance with the Habitats Directive, an Appropriate Assessment Screening has been carried out on the project. An Environmental Report also accompanies this application.
