  On the N bank of the W-flowing Inagh River. A water mill is depicted stylistically on the Down Survey barony map of Corcomroe (1655-8). No buildings are shown in the general area on the first (1840) or Cassini (1916) editions of the OS 6-inch map.   Description

  Situated on the highest point of a prominent hill in Ennistymon, in the NW quadrant of a trapezoidal graveyard (CL015-103002-). Visible from all points and commands a good view. Listed as ‘Church’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A Church of Ireland church built in 1778 and in ruins since at least 1830 (Swinfen 1992, 66). The present remains consist of a rectangular roofless building of mortared random-coursed masonry with stressed quoins (int. dims. 6.6m N-S; 14.35m E-W). All walls stand to their original height (sidewalls H 6.5m) and ivy has been removed from the walls, with evidence of repointing visible in the interior. There is a pointed-arch doorway in the W gable with a blocked plain ope above suggesting a gallery or choir. There are four pointed-arch, single-light windows, three in the N wall and one in the E. the interior of the church contains many graveslabs and headstones.   Situated on the highest point of a prominent hill in Ennistymon town. A trapezoidal-shaped graveyard (c. 100m E-W; c. 90m N-S) defined by a plain mortared wall. An 18th-century church (CL015-103001-) lies in the NW quadrant. The graveyard is still in use and has many 19th and 20th headstones and graveslabs.   Situated at the top of a hill within Ennistymon town, c. 45m N of the wall surrounding a Church of Ireland church and graveyard (CL015-103001- and CL015-103002-). According to local information this is the location of a burial ground for unbaptized children and the area is known to have been blessed by a priest in the 1950’s on this account. Replacement pitched artificial slate roof centred on paired gablets to window openings to dormer attic, ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks having stringcourses below stepped capping supporting crested pots, and uPVC rainwater goods on rendered "Cavetto" cornice on patera- or rosette-detailed vermiculated frieze. Rendered, ruled and lined walls with vermiculated rendered piers to corners supporting patera- or rosette-detailed vermiculated frieze. Timber shopfront with bowed display windows centred on glazed timber panelled door having overlight. Camber-headed window openings (first floor) with concrete sills, and vermiculated rendered surrounds centred on vermiculated rendered keystones framing one-over-one timber sash windows. Street fronted with concrete footpath to front. NOTE: Replaced an earlier house destroyed during the Burning of Ennistymon (September 1920).
