  Description

  The faint cropmark of a possible circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) is visible in an aerial photograph (CASAP) taken in 1985. Access was not gained to this location. • CO072-028001 Ritual site - holy well
  Description

  One of two wells (CO072-028001-) on either side of narrow stream valley. Overgrown and inaccessible. Rarely used when visited by Hartnett (1939, 223), who noted 'small spring well, covered, except for a small opening by a horizontal slab'. Above this was a shelf, formed by second slab, on which votive offerings were placed. Crosses deeply incised on both slabs. Rounds were made at both wells on three successive Sundays. • CO072-119 Anomalous stone group
  Description

  In pasture, on gentle W-facing slope. Mentioned by D.J. O'Sullivan (1955, 1). Two upright, roughly parallel, sandstones slabs 1.52m apart. Most northerly stone measures H 1.25m; 0.82m x 0.22 (long axis WNW-ESE); second stone measures H 0.95m; 1.2m x 0.34m (long axis ENE-WSW). Boulder (H 0.83m; 0.68m x 0.94m) lies embedded 0.62m S of second stone. Slab (L.45m) leans against the most northerly stone; yet another slab (L 1.17m) lies immediately to E; according to local information, these were originally one stone which rested atop the two uprights and has since broken. Slight mound (H 0.3m) around stones possibly result of erosion by cattle and dumping of small field clearance stones.   Description

  Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1900, having porch to front (east) and two-storey extension to rear (west). Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls with rendered plinth, rendered sill course to first floor. Square-headed window openings with render sills and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows having render label mouldings to ground floor openings of front elevation. Fixed timber framed margined windows to porch. Square-headed door opening with replacement glazed uPVC door to porch. Single-storey outbuilding to rear with pitched corrugated-iron roof and rubble stone walls. Rendered enclosing wall with square-profile piers to front of site. Set within own grounds.
