  Description

  Road bridge (Wth 3.95m) over Dripsey River. Six semicircular arches (average span 3.1m), reducing gently in size to E; three overflow arches at E end. Rough voussoirs; low pointed breakwaters; corbels on some piers to support centering for arch during construction. Bridge width extended 3.5m to S in similar design with roughly dressed voussoirs. River bed paved beneath bridge. According to local information, bridge blown up in 1920s. Upright stone with bench mark embedded in parapet. • Dripsey Bridge, bridge, 1700–1780 · Regional interest
  Description

  Six-arch bridge over river, extant 1780. Damaged, 1921. Part repointed coursed rubble stone walls centred on triangular cutwaters to piers having pyramidal capping with rubble stone soldier course coping to parapets centred on benchmark-inscribed cut-limestone milepost (south). Series of six round or segmental arches with lichen-spotted voussoirs. Sited spanning Dripsey River with unkempt grass banks to river.

• Shandy Hall, country house, 1800–1840 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached L-plan four-bay two-storey house, built c.1820, incorporating fabric of earlier building. Five-bay side (south) return, full-height bow-fronted bay to rear (north) elevation of return and single-storey extension to north elevation. Hipped slate roof with over sailing eaves, rendered chimneystacks, uPVC rainwater goods and cast-iron downpipes. Roughcast rendered walls with rendered plat and sill band to first floor having date inscribed to front (east) elevation. Square-headed window openings with tooled limestone sills and raised render surrounds throughout, having six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows. Camber-headed stairwell window opening with tooled limestone sill and rendered surround to rear (north) elevation of return, having square-headed nine-over-nine pane timber sliding sash window. Elliptical-headed door opening to front (east) elevation having timber panelled door, limestone threshold, flanking panelled sidelights and spoked fanlight. Rubble stone enclosing walls with square-profile rubble stone gate piers flanking double-leaf wrought-iron gates to south of site. Set within own grounds.

  Description

  Complex of detached single-storey multiple-bay outbuildings, built c.1820, set in U-plan arrangement around central yard, with buildings to east, south and west. Pitched slate roofs with rubble limestone bellcote to northern gable of eastern range, having overhanging canopy to western range and pitched corrugated-steel roof to southern range. Rubble stone walls. Segmental and square-headed openings to eastern range, having dressed stone and redbrick voussoirs to northern end with some timber battened fittings. Square-headed openings to western range with dressed stone voussoirs, timber casement windows and double-leaf timber battened doors. Segmental-arched openings to southern range with dressed limestone voussoirs. Cobbles to front yard of west range. Set to rear of Shandy House.
