Description
In pasture, below crest of E-W ridge, on N-facing slope. Circular area (64m N-S; 61.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.8m) SW->SSE. Inner bank face low on N side, where interior raised to compensate for hillslope. Faint ridge crosses interior on N-S axis. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
