Description
On level break in W-facing slope. Discovered c. 1975. According to local information, three earth-cut chambers were seen. No visible surface trace. Ringfort (CO142-085---) c. 130m to ESE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). Description
In pasture, on WNW-facing slope. Circular area (40m N-S; 40m E-W) defined by heavily overgrown earthen bank (int. H 1.4m), with external fosse (D 0.4m). Fosse not visible to NE due to overgrowth. Gap in bank to NE (Wth 2m) and SSE (Wth 2m). Interior raised on WNW side to compensate for hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
