Associated ancillary equipment includes 1 no. MV switchgear building, 1 no. Control Building, 5 no. LV Switchgear Containers, a fire water tank and pumphouse, Operation and Maintenance site offices (O&M portacabin) including welfare facilities, 3 no. spare parts stores (20-40 ft containers), 1 no. backup diesel generator plinth, an underground fire water retention tank, a surface water soakaway, harmonics structure (if required following testing of equipment), all services connections including electrical, potable water and connections to surface water drains, external lighting poles, CCTV, lighting monopole. Partially-collapsed early 19th century house; 2-storey over basement; burnt during 1920s. Entrance front (W) of 3 bays; central round-headed door ope; plastered hood mouldings over window opes. Three bays deep. Rear collapsed. According to Healy (1988, 90) house on site of Aghada Castle (CO088-057001-) (Coleman 1915, 169). This appears to be castle shown on 1587 map (Hayes-McCoy 1964, 25) and named 'Longeforde'; but this name not listed by Power (1940, 16-7) who gives Aghada as Acadh Fhada (the Long Field). 'Longeforde' probably derived from 'longphort' (a Viking naval camp) (Edwards 1990, 172); the name survives at nearby Long Point. Detached four-bay two-storey house, built c. 1780, having single-bay single-storey gabled porch to front (south) elevation and two-storey bow to front elevation, west bay and two-storey bow to west elevation, north bay. Hipped slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings with limestone sills. Those to west elevation having brick voussoirs. Openings to bow, front elevation, having timber sliding sash windows, six-over-three pane to first floor and six-over-six pane to ground floor. Openings to ground floor of bow to west elevation, having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Replacement uPVC windows to other openings. Square-headed tripartite window to porch having limestone mullions and uPVC windows. Porch comprising limestone cornice and square-headed opening with half-glazed timber panelled double-leaf doors. Roughcast rendered crenellated walls to rear. Round-headed carriage arch to north leading to rear courtyard.
