Description
In pasture, atop hillock. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 22m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, bisected by N-S field boundary; W half hachured as semicircular raised area on 1934 OS 6-inch map, with souterrain (CO027-00102-) in interior. Description
In pasture, on gentle NE-facing slope. Circular raised area (18m E-W) enclosed by low bank, most clearly visible on E side; intervening fosse; outer earthen bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.4m); shallow external fosse (D 0.6m). Inner bank quarried into for stone to W. Outer earthen bank varies in height; break to E (Wth 3.2m) and to W. Enclosure overgrown with trees.
