  In pasture, just below top of hill on NE-facing slope, overlooking River Blackwater. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on 1842 and 1905 OS 6-inch maps; as hachured circular raised area (diam. c. 30m) surrounded by fosse to S, W and N on 1936 OS 6-inch map. According to local information, levelled c. 1954. Circular, saucer-shaped area (diam. 36m) defined by low rise with shallow external depression. Probably double-ramparted fort (diam. c. 30yd) recorded by Bowman (1934, 584) on Mrs. Breen's land; inner rampart c. 10ft higher than interior; intervening fosse (Wth c. 12ft); one-quarter of outer rampart remained (H c. 2ft). Circular enclosure visible in aerial photograph (GSIAP; W388) as cropmark of fosse with second fosse visible on W side. Indicated on 1842 OS 6-inch map as rectangular area defined by broken line (c. 12m NW-SE; c. 5m NE-SW), with rectangular structure (c. 20m NW-SE; c. 9m SW-NE) c. 8m to SE. No visible surface trace of church or structure. Laneway to E has also been removed; according to Kavanagh (1991, 21) this linked it to Gobnait's cell at Abby's Well (14004) c. 1km to S. No visible surface trace of site; according to local information, levelled c. 1967. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 584) as triple-ramparted fort (diam. c. 32yd) in 'Lisin Ruadh' subdivision on F. Roche's land; banks 4 to 7ft H, with about half of middle rampart and one-sixth of outer rampart remaining. Possible souterrain (CO032-212---) in interior.   Abandoned, long 2-storey rectangular house. Rendered over random-rubble limestone construction. Front elevation (NE) of five widely spaced bays, central rectangular door ope, lintelled sash windows. Blocked opes in NW end bay on front and rear elevations, interior at this point used as outhouse with access through door ope in NW end wall. One-storey addition on SE end elevation. Large buttress on NW side of rear with door ope to SE and simple small stairway window overhead. Hipped slate roof; two chimneys off-centre near end walls.
