The development will consist of: · Works at 20 No. locations along the Turbine Delivery Route (TDR) to facilitate abnormal loads for the delivery of turbine components to the Gortloughra Wind Farm. The works will consist of the creation of the overrun areas into third party lands at various locations. These works can be reinstated on completion of the turbine deliveries or left in-situ with the agreement of the landowners and Cork County Council. The parapets of 2 no. bridges on the L8544 and the L4607 will need to be temporarily lowered to allow abnormal vehicles to cross those bridges. · Temporary works at 2 No. locations on the R585 where blade handover locations will be developed to allow the transfer of turbine blades to and from a blade lifter trailer to facilitate the transport of oversize turbine blades through the village of Crookstown. Works will involve the creation of 2 site entrances at each location for access and egress purposes and the laying of hardcore material to allow vehicles to enter the sites and transfer blades between trailers. A 10 year permission and a 2 year operational period from the contruction of the works is being sought.

Description
In Inchigeelagh, over River Lee. Road bridge (Wth 7m) with 7 semicircular arches increasing gradually in size towards centre. According to local information, central arch blown up during 1920s and replaced with cement arch. Pointed breakwaters. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Description
Seven-arch road bridge over the River Lee, built c.1800, with recent repairs. Rubble and dressed limestone construction with cut limestone voussoirs to segmental arches and V-cutwaters. Upright and concrete block coping stones.
