  Description

  On terrace in sloping pasture near NW foot of Mount Corin. Stones, removed in 1980, and replaced in 1983 by Office of Public Works. Plan and elevation made in 1977 show that the stones, aligned NE-SW, stood 1.65m apart; overall length 3.4m. NE stone was 1.1m L, 0.3m T and 3.25m H. SW stone was 0.7m L, 0.9m T and 3.6m H. Standing stone (CO130-032001-) stood c. 50m to SSW of pair, and multiple-stone circle in Dunbeacon (CO130-030---) lies 400m to WSW.   Description

  Small irregular area (L 17m; Wth 7.4m) projecting W into Dunmanus Bay. Defended by steep-sided earthen bank (H 4.3m) with outer fosse (D 1.7m); collapsing into sea to S, with outer fosse (D 1.7m). Interior overgrown and being rapidly eroded by sea, at S side in particular (site was much less eroded when inspected by Westropp (1921a, 107).   Description

  In rough fern-covered hill pasture, on an E-facing slope in an E-W hollow to the NE of the summit of Mount Corin. The jumbled remains of a D-shaped hut site (2.2m N-S) defined by a collapsed, curving, drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.1-0.4m) with straight S side (L 2.6m). Rubble is scattered around the hut site externally and in the level interior, which is largely obscured by ferns. Two other hut sites (CO130-056001-, CO130-056002-) are c. 20m to the E.   Description

  In rough fern-covered hill pasture, on an E-facing slope in an E-W hollow to the NE of the summit of Mount Corin. The remains of an oval hut site (4m N-S; 2.8m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.7m; H 0.45m), the stones of which are scattered along the perimeter and are largely obscured by ferns.   Description

  In rough fern-covered hill pasture, on an E-facing slope in an E-W hollow to the NE of the summit of Mount Corin. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 4.7m) defined by a drystone wall (T 0.8m; H 0.1-0.4m), the collapse from which is strewn along the perimeter. The entrance location is indicated at the SE by two parallel slabs which are set 0.7m apart. Rubble and ferns obscure the interior.   In pasture, on S-facing slope. Levelled c. 1979; short stretch circumference remains WSW->NW continuing line of field fences abutting to either side. Lower inner bank (H 0.3m) separated from substantial earthen outer bank (H 2.3m) by fosse (D c. 2m). External fosse (D 0.9m) to NW. To S and E, slight scarps indicate position of remaining enclosure.   Description

  Detached five-bay two-storey house, built c.1860, with recent extensions to rear (south-east) and side (north-east). Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and uPVC rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls with platband to gables. Square-headed openings with two-over-two timber sliding sash windows and shutters. Round-headed door opening with timber panelled door, spoked fanlight, sidelights and concrete steps. Associated outbuildings to side (north-east). Enclosed by hedgerows.
