  Description

  In rough hill grazing, on the N side of a terrace on the S-facing slopes of Carrignaspirroge. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 4.5m) defined by a drystone wall (T 0.45m; H 0.5m) which is best preserved W-E where the bog is shallow. The wall protrudes intermittently from the deeper bog E-W. A second hut site (CO057-013002-) is c. 6m to the W. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.   Description

  In rough hill grazing, on the N side of a terrace on the S-facing slopes of Carrignaspirroge. The remains of a D-shaped hut site (4.8m N-S) defined by the lower courses of a partially collapsed, curving, drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.5m) with a straight S side (L 5m). The wall protrudes above the surface of the shallow bog. A rectangular annexe (2m E-W; 0.85m N-S; H 0.8m) is attached to the SW side of the hut site.   Description

  In rough fern-covered hill grazing, on the N side of a terrace on the S-facing slopes of Carrignaspirroge. The remains of a rectangular hut site (2.2m E-W; 1.2m N-S) defined by a roughly built drystone wall (T 0.4m; H 0.8m). The wall at the N and W consists of mainly large rough stones set on an outcropping rock. The entrance (Wth 0.6m) is at the N end of the E wall. The hut is sheltered by rising ground to the W and N.
