  Description

  In pasture, on crest of low hummock. Circular mound (H 0.8m; 8m E-W; 8m N-S) of loose stones. On E side, depression (6m N-S; 1.4m E-W; D 0.8m) running N-S, lined with slabs to E. Collapse from mound extends 2m to W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).   Description

  In level pasture land NE of Mount Gabriel. Circular enclosure (33m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.3m); external fosse, D 1m NW->ENE, shallow elsewhere. Bank badly eroded to W; gap to ENE (Wth 2m); levelled for short section S of gap. Cultivation ridges cross interior on E-W axis.
