  In rough pasture, on gentle E-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure on 1842 OS 6-inch map; shown as part of field fence system W->S on 1904 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps; levelled to NE on 1937 OS 6-inch map. Circular area (32.5m E-W; 30.5m N-S) defined by scarp (H 0.85m) NE->W; earthen bank (max. int. H 0.8m; max. ext. H 0.75m) W->N. Approx 6m beyond scarp to S and W is field boundary (H 1.3m) respecting site. Interior covered in long grass and thistles. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 513) as levelled single-ramparted fort on J. Depicted as hachured roughly circular enclosure (c. 30m E-W; c. 25m N-S) adjoining N side of laneway on 1842 OS 6-inch map; indicated as oval enclosure defined by solid line and broken line on 1905 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps respectively. Levelled; circular area (31.5m N-S; 31.5m E-W) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1m) to S where incorporated into field boundary system; by low rise elsewhere.   In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (31m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1m); shallow external fosse to W (D 0.3m). Gap (Wth 1m) in bank to W, with slope down to outside. Remains of stone facing noted on outer face of bank to WNW. Laneway skirts bank on N side. Possibly same well as that recorded by Bowman (1934, 513) in this townland which moved to adjoining field in Gneeves when farmer made channel from it to provide water for cattle; called 'Suilin (Well for the Eyes)'.
