  Description

  In rough heather and gorse-covered grazing, on a stony W-facing slope with a view W across a valley towards Mullaghmesha. The remains of several intermittent stretches of relict stone field boundaries (T 1.6m; H 0.6m) extending over a roughly rectangular area (c. 100m NE-SW; c. 70m NW-SE). The best preserved section of relict boundaries comprises a roughly D-shaped enclosed area (dims. 70m NW-SE) with a straight NW side (L 50m). This area is indicated on the OS 6-inch map.   In rough grazing, on a NE-facing hillslope. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3m) defined by a partially collapsed, roughly constructed, drystone wall (T 0.65m; H 0.6m), the lower courses of which protrude above the surface of bog. The level interior is cut (D 0.4m) into upslope at the SE to compensate for the hillslope. Another hut site (CO106-108002-) is c. 45m to the NE.   In rough grazing, on a NE-facing hillslope. The remains of an oval hut site (4m N-S; 3m E-W) defined by a partially collapsed drystone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.4m) which protrudes above shallow bog.   In rough heather and gorse-covered hill grazing, on a terrace on a S-facing slope overlooking Castledonovan. The remains of a roughly circular hut site (4.4m N-S; 4m E-W) defined by the lower courses of a partially collapsed, single-stone wide, drystone wall (T 0.45m; H 0.55m). Rubble is scattered in the level interior. A linear E-W wall forms a separate compartment in the N quadrant; its function is unclear.
